US History II Course Description: U.S. History II is a full-year course for juniors that examines the growth and transformation of the United States from the early 20th century to the present. Major political, social, economic, and cultural developments that shaped modern America will be highlighted throughout the year.
We begin with the Progressive Era and America’s rise as a world power, followed by World War I, the Roaring 1920s, and the Great Depression. In the second half of the course, students will study World War II, the Cold War and its influence on foreign affairs, the Civil Rights era, and the contemporary United States.
Through readings, discussions, projects, group work, activities, and primary sources, students will develop a deeper understanding of how events and movements influenced the nation and continue to impact American life today.
Geometry Course Description: In this class, we will study shapes, angles, lines, and space. We will learn how to solve problems, use logic, and explain our thinking. Topics include triangles, circles, and 3D shapes. This course will help you get ready for future math classes.
