Class Expectations:

Be respectful of yourself, your classmates, and your teachers

Be on time every day
5 lates is a write up
you will receive a warning at 4 lates
Begin Do Now as soon as you get settled in your seat
Be prepared with all materials
Treat others as you wish to be treated.

Cell Phones:

Follow the red light green light poster in the room.
Red light means no electronics including cell phones, chrome books, headphones, etc.
Green light means that electronics may be used as long as you continue to work on your assignments.

Hall Passes:

Mr. Ryan or Mr. Ribinsky will write you a pass. Please throw the pass out when you return to the room. One person out at a time.
Nobody leaves the classroom for the first 5 and the last 5 minutes of the period.
You are not allowed to leave during the notetaking unless it is an emergency.

Grading policy:

Your marking period grade will be determined as follows:

60% - Assessments – this includes Tests, Quizzes, and Projects.
40% - Classwork and Homework -We will collect almost everything done in class and grade it. Homework will not be given often, but when it is it will be put in this category.

We grade everything based on a 4 point scale. The scale is as follows

Inc: You did not attempt the assignment and your grade is a 0%
0-points: You attempted the assignments but did not answer enough correct to earn a 1, your grade is a 50%
1-point: You successfully answered all level 1 questions, your grade is a 61%
2-points: You successfully answered all level 1 and level 2 questions, your grade is a 74%
3-points: You successfully answered all Level 1, 2 and 3 questions, your grade is a 87%
4-points: You successfully answered all questions, your grade is a 100%

Extra help:

If you need help please let us know right away. We are happy to meet with you any day or time we are free. Both Mr. Ryan and Mr. Ribinsky has Pirate time B and D Days. We can be free after school if needed, you just need to schedule it with us ahead of time.

Absent from class:

If you are absent for any reason, it is your responsibility to get your missed assignments. There is a folder with missing work for you to grab. All missed assignments and quiz/test make ups need to be done in a timely manner. If the work is not completed, it will go in our gradebook as a zero.
