Understanding expectations helps to set a solid foundation for a positive experience!

I expect my students to

be actively preparing themselves to be successful, contributing members of society as adults. High school provides opportunities for students to choose to make responsible decisions that ensure their own health and academic well-being as well as that of their peers - I expect my students to choose wisely.
use positive language that is respectful of all people.
be resilient if/when they encounter a challenge.
ask for help when they need it - I am happy to give it!

My students should expect me to

be helpful, fair, kind, and patient.
guide them through learning new concepts and skills
facilitate meaningful learning experiences for them.
respond to their questions in a timely manner.
leave the course in June knowing more than they knew when they arrived in September.
