The Greater Egg Harbor Regional High School District will be operating at regular schedule tomorrow, Wednesday January 28, 2026.

The Greater Egg Harbor Regional High School District will be closed on Tuesday, January 27. Throughout the day we made great efforts to get our buildings prepared, but in consultation with our constituent and sending districts and our local law-enforcement and our transportation providers, there are just too many safety concerns on back roads and in many of our neighborhoods. We recognize and understand that many of the main roads look and are in fact fine, but this district is so expansive and has so many students coming from remote and rural-like areas that we cannot in good conscience put those students and staff in dangerous situations. In addition, temperatures in the teens overnight and into tomorrow morning, give us great concern for the safety and well-being of students walking to and waiting at bus stops. We realize the temperatures will be cold for the week, but believe after talking to other local agencies that there will be continued efforts tomorrow to clean up intersections and some smaller side-street areas. The district fully intends to open Wednesday, January 28.

Winter Track - Ryan McCann won the 800m in a Senior Record (#3 in school history) & Vinny Vecchio outleaned two runners to bring home 2nd place in the 800m (#5 in school history). Alexy Torres flew to a 3rd place & School Record in the Long Jump.

Ms. Stephens’ Honors II classes held their annual debate tackling one big question: What poses the greater risk to society—technology taking over our lives or depleted natural resources? Students came prepared, thoughtful, and passionate, with one student even joining via Google Meet while vacationing in Italy! Congratulations to all participants!

Cedar Creek won the 2026 NJ Consumer Bowl Atlantic County Competition on Tuesday 1/20.

Congratulations to Cedar Creek freshman Valentino Vecchio, who came in first out of a hundred students in the South Jersey Chess League's Individual Tournament!!

The Winter Track team competed at the NJ State Relay Championship. The 4x200m team of Gabriel Smith, Richie Gonzales, Nathan Roberts & Alexy Torres finished 6th and set a new school record.

The firefighting students are building structures to predict fire behavior.
